The Mountaineer Kennel Club (MKC) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that encourages the responsible breeding, training, handling and maintenance of dogs by both current and prospective dog fanciers.

MKC offers a full range of obedience classes, as well as puppy training, conformation,  agility, therapy dog work, tricks, and more.

Classes feature:

• curriculums emphasizing positive reinforcement and step-by-step learning,
• supportive, well-trained volunteer instructors,
• fully matted instructional areas,
• limited class size,
• training on weekday nights, and
• reasonable rates.

MKC also offers a variety of activities for dog fanciers including: therapy dog evaluations, Canine Good Citizen (CGC) testing, agility demonstrations, community outreach and public education, canine health clinics, and more.
